Arreios
Who would expect harnesses to be the next big thing in accessories?… However, and not considering the controversy regarding empowerment, it cannot be ignored. Looking closer they have an architectural beauty about them and become very seductive when the woman takes control over it.

Um dos acessórios mais interessantes durante a semana da moda foram os “arreios”. Uso a palavra ambígua “interessante” de propósito. Estou quase com medo de publicar este post, pois sem dúvida pode causar polêmica.
Escolho documentá-lo pois me chamou a atenção mais que três vezes. E esta é a minha regra…se me chama a atenção pelo menos três vezes, em um contexto que eu respeito, tenho que prestar atenção. Aqui as fontes:
1) a diretora de estilo e acessórios da Marie Claire americana,Taylor Tomasi Hill
2) desfile da Lanvin
3) modelo Hanne Gaby Odiele no blog Jak&Jil
Sem considerar as conotações S&M e nem depreciativas, acredito que tem uma certa beleza arquitetônica, especialmente quando a mulher toma o controle do arreio e o transforma em acessório à sua feminilidade.

4 de November de 2010Girl, I must tell you, it´s really weird... And I think the weirdest thing at all, is that fashion people just start following it to look modern, without questioning. Could it be a provocation? Yes, it could. But as they wore this "thing" so fast, I think it´s just to try to be fashionable, and this is what I call being "fashion-victim", simple like that. Me? I´d never wear something like this - for me, it means I´m cutting of my freedom, becoming a fashion-victim (forgive me who like being a fashion-victim), and just saying I like looking as a horse. Sorry, I just see as it is. Even though it can have a YSL, Dolce or whoelse label (name) on it. Being provocative is good, but fashion-with-no-question, doesn´t work for me.
